Main Temples in Delhi State

1. Akshardham 
  • It is a hindu temple complex in Delhi.  Swamynarayan Mandir is the main temple. It is very big and beautiful temple. And so many temples and attractions are here. They are a) musical fountain, b) Theatre c) Garden of India, d) Boat ride, e) Neelkanth Abhishek, f) Narayana Sarovar, g) Yogi hrudaya Kamal and so on. To visit all these take one full day. Akshardham is 10kms away from New Delhi Railway station, 8kms from Nizamuddin Railway Station.
2. Lotus Temple
  • It is in Delhi. Mainly It is meditation temple. It is 14kms away from New Delhi Railway station
3. ISKCON Temple
  • ISKCON Temple is on Hare Krishna Hills in in Santnagar east of Kailash. Radha Pradhasaradhi Temple is here. It is dedicated Radha Devi and Lord Krishna. It is 13kms away from New Delhi Railway station and 2.5kms from Lotus temple.
4. Birla Mandir
  • It  is located in Gole Market New delhi. Lakshmi Narayana Temple is here. It is just 4kms away from New Delhi Railway Station.
5. Yogamaya Temple 
  • It is located in Mehrauli, Delhi. It is dedicated to Mayadevi who was sister of Lord Krishna. ( Another Yogamaya temple is near Vindhyacal in Uttar Pradesh as it called Ashtabhuji Mata Mandir) This temple is 17kms away from New Delhi Railway station and 10kms from Lotus Temple.
6. Chattarpur Mandir 
  • It is located in Mehrauli, Delhi. Sri Adhya Katyayani Shakti Peeth Mandir is dedicated to Goddess Parvathi (Katyayani) one of Navadurga. This temple is spread over 60 acrea. So many temples are there in this complex. It is 19kms away from New Delhi Railway Station and just 3kms away from Yogamaya Mandir.

7. Chittarajan Park Kali temple
  • It is a temple complex on a small hill. So many temples are here. Kali, Siva, Durga, Radha Krishna temples are here. This park is 16kms from New Delhi Railway station and 3.5kms from Lotus temple.
8. Cannaught place Hanuman Temple
  • It is vey ancient temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Anjaneya. It is 2.5kms from New Delhi Railway Station.
9. Jagannath Temple
  • It is located in Hauz Khas. It is 12.5kms from New Delhi Railway Station on Yogamaya mandir route. 6kms from Yogamaya Mandir.
10. Kalkaji Mandir 
  • It is located in Kalkaji. Kalkaji Mandir is dedicated to Goddes kali. It is very ancient  temple. It is 16kms away from New Delhi Railway station and 3kms from Lotus temple.

11. Kali Bari Mandir
  • It is located near Birla Mandir. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali. It is just 4kms away from New Delhi Railway Station and just 400mtrs away from Birla Mandir.
12. Uttara Swamimalai Temple
  • It is located in New Delhi on Palam Marg. This temple is dedicated to Muragan. It is also a temple complex. Meenakshi, Sundareswar and Karpura Vinayaka temples are also here. It is 14kms away from New Delhi Railway Station and 10kms from Chattarpur temple.
13. Shanidham Temple
  • It is located on Chattarpur raod near Asola. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shani Mahadev unveiled by Kanchi Peethadhipathi in 2003. It is 25kms from New Delhi Railway station and 6kms away from Chattarpur mandir.
14. Nili Chatri Temple
  • It is located in Yamuna Bazar. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva established by Yudhishtara. He made Ashwamedha Maha Yagna from here. It is 7kms from New Delhi Railway station.
